     Refund Policy

Thanks for being part of the La Jolla Newcomers Club!

Online payments help us reserve venues, plan fun events, and keep everything running smoothly.

Here’s how refunds work. Simple and transparent.

💳 Membership Dues

Membership fees are non-refundable once processed.

Your membership perks start right away after payment goes through.

🎉 Event Registrations

Life happens. Schedules shift. We understand but we are a 100% volunteer-run organization. We are unable to offer refunds.

If you need to cancel, just let your Special Event or Interest Group Leader know . If they know of someone on the Waiting List, they can put you in touch. Leaders are Members, and they do want to help, but it is fully up to you to arrange resale of your ticket.


🚫 If LJNC Cancels an Event

On the rare occasion we have to cancel an event you’ll get:

A full refund or the the option to use your payment as credit for a future event. 


📧 How to Request a Refund

Think an exception should be made? Send an email to:

info@lajollanewcomersclub.org

Be sure to include your name, email and phone, the amount paid, what you paid for, the date you paid, and the reason you'd like an exception granted. It's rare, but if an exception is made, we can usually process your refund, less any third party transaction fees (generally 0.29% + $0.30 each for payment and refund) within 30 days.



   Online Payment Terms

By making an online payment to the La Jolla Newcomers Club, you’re agreeing to the following:


✔ Using Online Payments

When you submit a payment, you’re confirming that:

  • You’re authorized to use the payment method

  • Your information is accurate

  • You’re paying for Club memberships, events, or approved activities


   Secure Payments

We use trusted third-party services like [Personify, Stripe, PayPal, Square, etc.] to safely handle payments.

Good news: we don’t store your credit card information.


   Receipts

After payment is complete, you’ll receive a confirmation email. That’s your receipt. Easy peasy.

If something doesn’t look right, please reach out to us!

We’re happy to help and fix things quickly whenever possible.


   Oops Moments (Tech Happens)

Sometimes technology hiccups or pricing errors happen. If that occurs, we reserve the right to correct the issue and issue refunds if needed.
